The OSC box (for lack of a better name) is a 24 element controller
with 10-bit resolution (1024 values) per element.
The device communicates using the
OpenSoundControl
protocol over ethernet to any OSC-enabled host.
It was created in collaboration with a local electronic musician, Star Morin, who posted the project idea on the
dorkbot list. He was looking
for someone to help him create a high definition controller with 24 analog elements
(16 pots and 8 sliders) that he could use with his custom music software (or any other OSC
enabled device or software). I graciously volunteered to take on the challenge and
subsequently developed a pcb and firmware. I eventually plan to make a revised version of
this project open source so contact me or check back in the future if you have any interest
in creating your own OSC box..
